Switch Business Directors Michael Buckley and Peter Fitzgerald are Certified Practising Accountants who have successfully built and sold their own businesses.
Over the years, they have shown hundreds of small business operators how to use the data gathered for tax purposes to identify issues and breathe new life into their businesses.
Michael Buckley
Michael built his private accounting practice from a home-based startup to a $million annual turnover with 10 full-time staff. The business was sold for an Australian record price in 2005. Also a qualified personal trainer, Michael then bought, transformed and sold a local fitness centre at a healthy profit within 12 months. More Details
Peter Fitzgerald
Peter Fitzgerald’s public accounting practice in regional Victoria was sold in 2003. Frustrated with traditional accounting reports that failed to inform or inspire his clients, Peter developed a set of unique, ‘plain English’ financial reports that are easy to understand and truly meaningful – now available to Switch clients exclusively. Karen previously worked as the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director in a boutique accounting firm in South Yarra.
With over 14 years experience within the financial sector, Karen has had extensive exposure to a variety of bookkeepers and the pressures they experience on a day to day basis.
Karen shares in the Switch Business vision and is looking forward to playing an integral part of the evolving Switch Business brand.
Natalie Johnson
Switch Certified Business Manager
Before joining the Switch team Natalie owned a successful bookkeeping business for 3½ years.
With over 12 years experience as a bookkeeper Natalie thoroughly understands the bookkeeping industry and its challenges. Natalie’s role is to provide support to our Switch Business Associates and Switch Certified Business Managers as they engage new clients and use the Switch system.

Senior Consultant
Ryan has extensive experience in financial accounting and business advisory roles having worked with clients from start-ups to ASX listed companies providing professional services specialising in corporate growth strategies.
Ryans passion lies with small business - Having observed and participated in the traditional accounting profession, his personal mission is to simplify what accountants typically overcomplicate, to provide real insight into performance and give small business owners the tools in which to make informed decisions.
